I am truly grateful to those of you who have supported me through my journey, as well as those who have purchased my work and continue to do so on a regular basis. You have inspired me to continue. I seek to capture the sensual stimulation that comes from nature itself, keep it in my heart and share it in my paintings. I hope you enjoy my interpretations and movement.
My keen love and respect for nature comes from living my early life on an Alberta cattle farm, with seven brothers and sisters. I learned that nature is a very fine tuned balancing act as well as a force not to be reckoned with.
When I was in my mid thirties, I visited Vancouver Island on vacation. It was the first time I had ever seen the ocean and wow, I was breathless. I felt totally overwhelmed by the vastness, the movement, the brilliance and varieties of color, and even the smell. All of my senses had been heightened to an unprecedented level. I will never forget that moment.
I fell head over heels in love with my surroundings. The sound of the water was so soothing and calming. I remember closing my eyes, just listening and breathing.
I want others to experience what I did so many years ago and fall in love with nature and their environment, appreciating all that it offers, as well as help to maintain the beauty that surrounds us. As a professional artist my time is spent painting and forever learning.
